“Strategic,” “effective”, “creative” and “responsible’’ are key words on the Top 10 list of the most overused words in LinkedIn (source: hrreporter.com)
Your goal is to create a compelling, differentiated LinkedIn Profile that helps you stand out from the crowd. Danielle Restivo, Head of Global Programs at LinkedIn further recommends you drop these commonly used words: “organizational”, “expert”, “positive”, “innovative”, “dynamic” and “analytical”.
Instead, Restivo suggests that you:
- Talk about your key accomplishments.
- Quantify your results. Demonstrate your success by noting your outcomes in terms of $, # and %.
- Add your presentations, images of your projects, and videos into your profile.
Take a moment today and scan your LinkedIn Profile to determine if your profile is drawing people in, or leaving you lost in the crowd of over 200 million LinkedIn members.
